Mitsubishi Repair: 93 Eclipse, autozone, cranks

Question
I have a 93 eclipse and when I first start it for the day, or after it has set awhile it cranks, but will not start immediately. After a few turns of the key it will start, run for a few second, then die. It eventually will stay running after a few more tries. At first it spits a little, when it first runs before it dies. After it warms up and I drive it, it runs good and hard. I have a new battery and starter, now. It's cold now, and it has ran down my battery trying to start it. I now spray quick-start to get it started and it starts right up.
Can you tell me what the problem may be?

Answer
Keith: You got an AutoZone close by? You need to have your car coded. I think you got a weak or maybe a sensor or more out. Or your computer is dying. You know don't you that Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers out to another company that did not make very good ones. With time a piece of those computers will start to leak on other parts of the computer, with time it will kill off the whole computer. So have your car coded will either rule out that problem or explain which sensor or sensors might be bad.How about a good tune up done that lately? My son's car has the same problem that you are talking about and it turned out to be two sensors out. Once he fixed those, the car starts and ran fine. Hope this helps and good luck!
