Mitsubishi Repair: 2002 Lancer Blower Motor, blower motor, switch problem

Question
Hello.  Recently my heater has stopped blowing air.  For awhile, it would work on speed 4, and now it has stopped altogether.  Sometimes it will work on the 4th speed for a few minutes and then slowly die.  Air still gets warm and flows through when driving at high speeds, but otherwise it doesn't work.  I am thinking about buying the part and replacing the blower motor myself.  Is this overly difficult?  Could it be something else?

Answer
Zachary,
This does sound like a blower motor problem.  It may even be a switch problem if there is a poor connection.  But replacing the blower motor is a pretty difficult job.  It requires removing a large section of the dashboard and and other surrounding components.  Unless this is something you've done before, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself.
Good luck!
