Mitsubishi Repair: Heating, vacuum hoses, mitsubishi galant

I have a 2002 mitsubishi galant and my heat works some times.I will switch it over to heat and I get nothing,but a few seconds later I hear a noise like something is opening and then I get heat.Now I'm not getting any Thing.

Tony: You need to take your car into a shop or dealership; as I think you have a vacuum leak. The newer cars heater are control by vacuum hoses. I would say the noise you hear it the vacuum building up so that a small vent in your heater can be opened so you get the heat you need. So could be your have a vacuum leak, they are often hard to find but not for a shop or the dealership. To cold to be running around with no heat! Hope this helps and good luck!
