Mitsubishi Repair: 93 montero, car works, battery terminals

Question
I am having problems with the interior lights.  Alternator went out had to replace.  Also cleaned up battery and wiring cables due to corosion from battery.  Used baking soda and water. Added new battery terminals and conectors.  Car runs great and everything in car works except interior lights.  When I go to the lights and put my meter on them I get no voltage ever no matter what position the switch or ignition is in.  I have checked all the known fuses in the car.  What am I missing ?  Is there a hidden fuse or something?

Answer
Michael:Have you checked the fuses under the hood? There is a box up by the firewall in with the engine and might be another one over by the battery on the firewall or around in that area. Every car is different. If those are not the problems, being the car is the age it is. There is most likely a short or a wire off someplace. You could use a voltmeter starting with the battery working yourself around till you find the short. If you have a repair manual for your car, it will explain the reading you should be getting and then you will know when you find the problem. You should be able to get a repair manual at any parts store for around $20.00. Hope this helps and good luck!
