OK one day i was driving my 03 mits. eclipes spyder down the road and all of a sudden my radio stopped playing and the center display went out. I took a look at both fuses they looked ok but put new ones in just in case, still nothing. Im at a wits end, what do you think

Shawn: I was up on the internet reading up about your car, it does have it's problems but I did not find any recalls on the radio. So you need to check the fuses under the hood, one box should be up by the firewall. As you open the hood, look over to the driver's side of the car, the box should be black in color and it has fuses in it. Also another fuse box over by the battery, one of those might have a bad fuse in it. Other wise I would say you have a short, meaning a wire has come off from the radio, either gets a voltmeter and buy a repair manual at a parts store as it will explain that reading you should be getting with that voltmeter. Other wise take your car to a shop or one that works on radios they should be able to help you. I wish I could do more but these newer cars have such updated radios in them. It could be anything, but the fact that is just happen makes me think a wire came off someplace or broke. Or one of those larger fuses under the hood went. Hope this helps and good luck.

Shawn: I know when I drive down the road, I like to listen to either my tunes or a CD. I guess if you don't want to get your radio to work, then don't bother to check the fuses. Though a friend told me this afternoon, if your fuses are blowing there has to be a reason for them to be doing that. Being your car is but a 2003 model pretty new. I guess if I was you, I would take it to either a dealership or a shop that works on car stereos to see what is going on with your car. There is a problem I would think. I do hope you get it all up and going in no time. Hope this helps and good luck!
