Mitsubishi Repair: 2000 Eclipse GT, pro mechanic, eclipse gt

Thought I was stupid or blind when I couldn't find the fuel filter to replace it.  So when the pro mechanic called back to tell me he couldn't find it either I met the news with mixed reaction.  Any idea where it is and how best to access it?

Bruce: Hello. Listen I did not know where it was either. So I did a look for the part on line and found out it is in the tank. So that is why you or the pro mechanic could not find it. Though I do wonder why the pro mechanic could not find it if he or she works on these cars. As my repair manual is not new enough for your the year of your car. So like I said I looked up the part and found out where it went that way. I do hope this helps you and good luck!
