Question
I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST and when I excellerate on a sharp turn, (left or right) my car stalls and within a split second picks back up and goes on, Car does absolutely fine on straight stretch excelleration, I have taken it to multiple shops but to no avail. Can you please shed some light.

Answer
Gary,
Two of the most common causes to your problem is weak fuel pressure and a dying alternator.  Since the engine needs to do more work to assist in the steering, that can rob power from the alternator.  And doing this from a standing start is even more stressful.  If the shops you've gone to have not load tested the alternator, have them do it.  If this is your original alternator, its probably time for a new one.  Mitsu alternators usually last between 8-12 years before they completely die.

Be sure your mechanics have checked your fuel pressure.  Have them inspect the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and even the injectors.  Having a turbo model means your fuel requirements are much greater due to the forced air intake.  If the engine is not getting as much fuel as it needs (or even too much), it will stall until the fuel pressure is within tolerance.
Good luck!
