Answer
Nate: Good question but then I will say most shops don't have time to really mess with cars. They want to get them fixed and move one. As to make money. I would say are you sure you got the right computer for your car? Then I would take a voltmeter and start with the battery working my way all through the car. Something is not hooked up right, there is a short and though you are ready to pull all your hair out; you need to stand back and think about things. You have put a lot of time and money into this car. You must have a repair manual for the car. Mine is a Haynes and in it they have a troubleshooting part. It gives you ideas in which to check. Now maybe you have checked all these but do it again, you could be over looking something. And maybe something very small in your eyes but very large in the car. In the older cars I work on there is a crankshift postion sensor the book tells how to test it useing that voltmeter. You will have to check things with that voltmeter. It will tell you if you are getting power or not and how much. The book would explain if you are not getting enough power as to what to do. I do hope this helps, keep me posted and good luck!
