Mitsubishi Repair: 2001 Eclipse Wiper System, medium pace, random point

Hello:

My cars wiper system is not working properly.  They work at a medium pace without any speed control.  Also after turning off the wiper they stop at a random point.  Do you think I need to replace the whole motor or is there a cheaper way to fix this.

Frat: Gee this is a newer car, have your checked to see if there might be a recall on your car's wiper motor? If not then I would replace the whole motor, because you could go to a junk yard to get another one but could be the same as your car's motor. It is not a hard job to do. You could get a repair manual for your car at any parts store and do the work yourself. Then all you would be out is the cost of the motor and the manual they cost around $20.00.
