Mitsubishi Repair: 99 mitsubishi montero sport 3.5, mitsubishi montero sport, chevy 3500 truck

Question
no heat. it was overheating and had sporadic heat. i replaced thermostat and anti freeze. radiator has good flow and heater controls on dash appear to be working. heater core isn't leaking. it's not over heating anymore but has no heat at all.

Answer
Hi Sean,

Seems to be a popular problem right now...especially with winter here. Just over a month ago I had to change my heater core because of the same problem. Got plenty of heat now. I'd bet that's probably your problem too. Changing a heater core isn't hard but can be tedious depending on the vehicle. My Chevy 3500 truck was a breeze at about 20 minutes...my Mits. Mirage took about 8 hours and driving half way across Houston to finally find the right part. Depending on your vehicle you may want to have someone do it for you. Hope I could be of some help.

Good Luck!
