Answer
Cindy: That a girl; I like the fact that women like to work on their own cars. First thing is to remove the neg. battery cable, that keeps anything from starting up while you are working on your car. You will have to drain a some of the coolant from the car, save it and if you keep it clean you can reuse it. Make sure you put the new thermostat back in just like the old one was. Apply a thin uniform layer of RTV sealant to both sides of the new gasket and postion it on the housing. Install the new thermostate in the housing. Just like the old one was. Put on the cover and tighten the bolts down.   Put in the coolant you had to remove or add some new. Hook the neg. cable back on the battery and then run the car to check for leaks. Hope this helps and good luck!
