Question
ALARM GOES OFF WHILE PARKED.  NO MATTER HOW I TRY TO LOCK CAR, WITH KEY OR REMOTE THE ALARM (LIGHTS AND HORN) OFTEN GOES OFF WITHOUT ANYONE TOUCHING THE CAR.

HOW CAN THE ALARM BE DISENGAGED, OR WHAT OTHER STEPS CAN I TAKE TO ELIMINATE THIS PROBLEM.  PLEASE HELP, I AM ON A VERY FIXED INCOME AND I'M NOT GOOD WORKING WITH MY HANDS.

Answer
Tommy,
If this is a factory alarm, there should be disarm procedures in your owners manual.  You can even contact your local Mitsubishi service department for assistance.  If you have an aftermarket alarm installed, you can get information on the manufacturer's web site on how to disarm it.  The most likely cause is an improper connection or a bad ground in the ignition.  Even a weak battery can cause an alarm to unexpectedly go off.  Have that checked as well.
Good luck!
