Mitsubishi Repair: 95 eclipse, spark plug wires, distributor cap

Question
i put a new timing belt on the car. started it up and it ran fine for about 2 days. then i took it home and parked it and now i have spark in 2 out 4 cylinders. i changed the coil and still the same thing. any ideas

Answer
Hi JT,

Not sure if you changed the distributor cap and rotor when your changed the timing belt but a cracked distributor cap can cause this problem. I suggest you change both as well as your plugs. As the vehicle is 11 years old, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change your spark plug wires, too.

Good Luck!
