Question
My sister went through water and now the car won't start,it cranks but won't start.I was told that the computer was damage but water didn't go inside of it or anywhere around it.Could it be the crank sensor and where is located.

Answer
Renato:Who told you it was the computer? Is your "check engine" light on? I would check the easy things first, but first go out and buy yourself a manual for your car. Can get them at any parts store. This is a repart manual, it will walk you through ideas to check.  Haynes is a good one to get.It could be a sensor. But how deep was this water? You should check your battery and it's cables. I mean these little cars like their batteries fully charged. Maybe your cables are loose or corroded. Ignition components damp or damaged, your distributor cap could be wet or crank sensor could have the timing off. Your timing belt would be off or broken. Broken or loose or disconneted wires at ignition coil or faulty coil. Some ideas for you, but get that manual it will help walk you through on how to check these things. Still none of these things check out, then have your computer coded at AutoZone they will check your car for free. Hope this helps and good luck!
