Mitsubishi Repair: vibration, vibration noise, motor mounts

Question
My 2000 for several YEARS has a vibration noise(more so when cold). The car Runs GREAT. I am selling it and it looks and runs great, however, this noise is distracting. The only answer anyone has given me is motor mounts. Does this sound like the only possible cause ?

Answer
Karen: When things get cold they get hard. I would say if you can hear the vibrabtion noise in the car, then it would be something inside the car. Motor mounts sound like something a guy would say to get you off his back. Is it a two door or four? Could be one of your doors does not fit right, a window in one of those doors. Could be one of your seats in the car rubs on something. I know my son has a car, it too has the vibration noise and it is one of his back seats, they lay down and so they get to rubbing against one another so the noise. He just turns his radio up and does not hear it. But when I drive the car, I lay the seats down. Or put a towel between them. You need to take the car out when cold, get a friend to go with you and see if that person can pin point there the sounds is coming from. Then fix it. Don't sell the car because of that, with out trying to fix it a few times. It might take the two of you a bit to find the sound. Well the vibration. Hope this helps and good luck!
