William: First off I tell people to go get a repair manual on their cars, it helps you understand about you car and at times you can fix it your self. I will give you some ideas on what could be wrong with the car. Because it could be many things, I am thinking the fuel pump, fuel filter, the computer, a bad relay or a sensor weak or bad. You need to take it to a shop and let them see what is going on. The fuel pump needs to be changed by a shop as it is in the tank, the fuel filter you could do(need that manual), got a AutoZone store close by? They will code your car for free and that would explain if it is a sensor or the computer, even the relay should show up on that I think. The computer controls a lot on cars these days, whatever that is to be telling your computer the car is not running right. Is not doing it and so the computer thinks everything is fine. Or else the computer is not listening. Hope this helps and good luck!

William: Ok, right now I do not have the book that goes with your car. But I did look up a typical starting system wiring diagram, only I do not know if your's is an auto or a clutch. But both have a safety switch on them. Your switch could be shorting out. Those wires you talk about could lead to the relay for the starter. But also you turn the key that is in the ignition system wiring, that runs to the distributor assembly, ignition coil, distributor to the stark plugs, I guess I would check those wires, because you most likely have one hell of a short there. But then becareful too you do not want to mess up your car's computer. Could be one of those safety switches are bad. The book I have also talks about broken, loose or disconnected wiring in the starting circuit, maybe your ignition switch faulty. But if you got wires to pop that would mean there was power to some of them, you crossed a wires that should not have been crossed. I would again check all the fuses, there are some up in the engine, on the firewall and over by the battery. Anything that talks about relays or the such. Because there are some large fuses in those black boxes. So look around, but before you start working on your car remove the negative battery cable and then work on taking the apart where those wires are that you got to pop. Without a manual you will have to look for the screws and bolts that holds everythng together. "Oh wait a minute", YOU HAVE A CAR WITH AN AIR BAG. So you got to be very careful. Any chance you might have it pulled to a shop? It is better to let a shop work on it, with that air bag because it is much to easy to set it off and you would not do that. BECAUSE YOU COULD GET HURT VERY BAD. So I would try to get a shop look at it. Maybe you got a friend that could pull you someplace but if it is an auto don't go over 30. Do becareful, wish I could help more and good luck!
