Mitsubishi Repair: car turns over but will not start, fuel pump relay, fuel pump

I have a 2000 galant gtz 3.0 where can I find my computer and if I can't hear my pump does that mean it is gone out

Stanley: Look there could be a lot of different reasons why your car is not starting. It could be the computer, the fuel pump or a sensor. Have you checked your fuses? The computer is in behind your radio. Are you sure you can not hear the fuel pump? Is there a way you might check the codes with a meter to see if your the sensor might be out? There is also a fuel pump relay that might be bad too. I always tell people to buy a repair book on their cars, that way you can read up on things. Can you hear if it is firing? When is the last time you did a tune up? I always try to start with the easy things and then go to the hard things. So I would check to see if you are getting stark in your plugs, check the distributor and rotor. Is it a fast turn over or is the engine turning over slow? Hope this helps and good luck!
