Mitsubishi Repair: Defroster/AC, barometric pressure sensor, windshield defroster

Question
I have a 98 Eclipse a/t
I noticed that i loose a lot of power, especially when going up  hills, whenever i have my windshield defroster on. And i loose even more power whenever i use my AC. Is this normal?

Answer
No, it is not normal. When is the last time you did a tune up? Like stark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. If that does not do the trick being this is when you climb hills, I would say your Barometric pressure sensor is getting weak or is not working. If you have a AutoZone place close by, go and let them run a code check on your car. It is free and it will show if any of your sensors are bad. The AC or windshield defroster is just pulling power from the engine, it the engine that needs some work. Good luck!
