Mitsubishi Repair: 97 Mont Sport auto electrical problems, battery cables, dash lights

Question
Ive had my alternator and battery die on me at the same time twice now in a little over a years time.  Just replaced them about 2 weeks ago, and now I'm having trouble again.  If i get in my car, all the electrical stuff will work normally (dash lights, overhead, even the radio if i just turn the key to on) but as soon as i go to start the engine everything kills.  Sometimes it will randomly start fine though.  And now it dies if i slow down or drop to idle and like every dash warning I have comes on.  what could be causing the continued electrical problem.

Answer
Bryan,
You should have your battery cables to your alternator and starter motor checked.  If there is a poor connection, short circuit, or poor ground, it can cause the problem you're seeing.  Also have your mechanic inspect the alternator and ignition fusible links and relays.
Good luck!
