Mitsubishi Repair: 1999 Galant stutters, mass air sensor, throttle position sensor

Question
everytime i press the gas pedal the car hesistates/stutters like its gonna die out on me, but doesn't.  This problem happens intermitently. I took the car in a German mechanic (stationed in Germany) and they tell they check all the electrical and transmission and they couldn't find the problem.

This sounds like a fuel or ignition problem.  Your mechanics should at least be checking the following items:
- fuel pump
- fuel filter
- fuel pressure regulator
- fuel injectors
- throttle body
- throttle position sensor
- mass air sensor
- spark plug wires
- spark plugs
- ignition coil

Without a list of items your mechanic already checked, it's hard to rule out what may or may not be causing the problem.  But if you can find a Mitsusbishi dealership anywhere in your area, you may want to drop it off to them for inspection and diagnosis.
