Mitsubishi Repair: 1995 Eclipse GS Brake Light Prob, eclipse gs, test light

So I just bought my 95 Eclipse GS about 2 months ago and have had absolutely zero problems with it.

Now today I get home from work and as I'm walking around the car to go inside I notice my brake lights were still on. With the car turned off and the light turned off what could be causing this?

I ended up pulling the fuse from under the hood so as to not drain the battery overnight. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Electrical problems can be tricky Jeremy this could be a short or a relay problem..keep troubleshooting, check around the light bulb and all the wires that you can see for any black spots where it could have sparked or shorted. Check wires with a test light also! If you start moving wires and and lights goes off ..Its a short..THIS CAN BE A HEADACHE!! Hard to say Jeremy!! Make sure to pick up some fuses if you choose to work on it cause most likely youll blow other fuses if you start messing with a short.
