Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer LS Auto Sunroof, mitsubishi lancers, mitsubishi lancer ls

My mitsubishi lancers sunroof was working fine...it opened fine, and when i went to close it it made this almost grinding sound, and wouldnt close.  What would you suggest for me to do...or is there an easier way to fix it than to take it into a shop?

Unfortunately, I have little experience with the newer Lancers, and I have never worked on its sunroof.  It's possible the sunroof came off the track or there was debris on the track that could have caused a roller to become misaligned.  It's also possible the bearings in the motor that open and close the sunroof are worn.  I would recommend taking it to the shop to have it inspected.  You may still be covered under warranty for this issue, so it's a good idea to at least have the dealerhip take a look.
