Mitsubishi Repair: tranny., transmission conversions, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
If you could do this for me it would be great.  I know chances are still slim, but I was wondering if you could supply me with alist of parts needed to replace an auto with a manual transimssion.  and the parts needed for a turbo kit put in as well.  I have a friend who works at a scrapyard, and may be able to get me the parts over time.  and do they HAVE to be Ecipse parts?  OR what kinds of parts will fit into a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse?

Answer
Robert,
There is a great site where you can get all this information, http://www.vfaq.com .  You can refer to these sites for turbo and transmission conversions:
http://www.vfaq.com/FAQlocator-turbo.html
http://www.vfaq.com/FAQlocator-drivetrain.html

There may be pre-fab turbo kits you can get for your car, but they are very expensive; $2000-$4000.

There are links on that page that will give you parts lists and high-level instructions on what is involved.  As for other cars you can use, the 2.0L non-turbo 90 Eclipse is compatible with the 89-90 Eagle Talon and Plymouth Laser (non-turbo, 2.0L).  Other Eclipse years and models look every similar but circuitry and other various parts can differ greatly.  If you can keep it to the exact same year and model, that would be ideal.
Good luck!
