i noticed some fluid saturating on my rear diff, could my rear diff be going bad? my transfer case showed the same problem before it had to get replaced.

Your rear diff probably is not bad, but it may have a leaky fill plug.  If it's been more than 45,000 since you last replaced the rear diff fluid, I would recommend draining it and replacing the fluid with the specified fluid as indicated in your owners manual.  This is most likely a 75W-90 GL-4 fluid.  Also, get a new drain and fill plug from the dealership.  If you still notice fluid leaking around the circumference of the diff, you'll need to remove the casing cover and reseal it.
