Mitsubishi Repair: 95 mits eclipse motor mount, water pump replacement, chrysler engine

Question
im replacing my water pump-leaking from behind harmonic. ive got to my mount and cant get it up out of the gap. theres a bolt on the top with two nuts on posts as well does the mount come apart? if i take off these bolts? its loose from the engine body. wiggles real nice. hahaha

Answer
The engine bracket can and should be removed completely.  You can raise and support engine itself with a floor jack.  Pad the jack very well with rags or cardboard and raise the engine from under the oil pan.  Do this slowly and pad it well because you can end up damaging the oil pan if you don't.  If you have the non-turbo engine, it's actually a Chrysler engine, so I'm not as familiar with water pump replacement as I am with the Mitsubishi motor.  But you definitely need to get components out of the way in order to remove the pump because there should be enough clearance to remove and install it without too much interference.
Good luck!
