How do I test the distributor module/coil?
I was driving and the engine just died, no warning, no noises. There is no spark at the plugs when cranking the engine over.

I would recommend picking up a service manual for your car.  They are available for your car at most auto parts stores, and they contain all procedures needed to test your ignition system.  I just don't have all the voltage and resistance tolerances memorized, so I can't really tell you myself.  You should also check that your timing belt has not slipped.

It would be a good idea to check your car's computer as a possible cause as well.  Read this article for further information:

If your ECU is malfunctioning, it can cause the same problems you're experiencing.
