Mitsubishi Repair: hood relase cable, open cable, autostick

2001 eclips gt autostick can't get hood open cable is loose. help thanks

You can try to get under your dash and attempt to tighten up the slack in the release cable.  You can also try to pull on the cable with a vise-grip, which may release the hood lock.  If you just can't get it yourself, you'll probably want to have a mechanic take a look at it.  Many have tools that could be used to release the lock from under the car.
