Mitsubishi Repair: enginecranks, no start, blown fuses, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
i have a 95 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 turbo awd and i touched the alternator with a wrench and it sparked after that the car wouldnt start. its getting spark and fuel. before that it started and ran fine

Answer
Ron,
You should first check all your fuses near your battery; particularly your MPI and Alternator fuses.  You may have shorted out and blew one of those fuses.  That can prevent your car from running.

If you cannot find any blown fuses, you may have blown out a diode within your alternator.  You'd need to replace your alternator if that's the case.
Good luck!
