Mitsubishi Repair: machanics, spark plug wires, drain holes

Question
Why am I getting gas in my oil and the gas is also folowing out my sparkplugs.

Answer
Jason,
The build up of fuel in the spark plug wells usually indicates that your spark plugs are not firing and burning the fuel.  As fuel building up, it leaks into the oil passage drain holes and will begin to contaiminate your oil.

If your spark plugs have been soaking in fuel and fuel has got into your oil, you must replace your spark plugs and change your oil.

You need to find out why your plugs are not firing.  Have your ignition coil, distributor (is so equipped), distributor cap (is so equipped), rotor (is so equipped), and your spark plug wires.  You will also want to having your timing checked to make sure it's set properly.  Your timing belt could have failed.  Get a compression check done as well.

Also have your car's computer examined to make sure it's still operating properly.
Good luck!
