Mitsubishi Repair: car wont start, coolant temperature sensor, mitsubishi eclispe

Question
I have recently replaced the IAC motor on my 95 Mitsubishi Eclispe 2.0 GS after being checked by a scanner. Then replaced the Throttle position sensor because the RPM gauge would go between 3500 and 4500. After driving the car for the first time it would not restart when cut off. It is not geting any fuel or fire. please help

Answer
Lisa,
If I understand you correctly, after your engine has warmed up, you turn it off, but then it will not start back up.  If that's the case, your problem may be with your engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT).  By measuring engine coolant temperature, the car's computer (ECM) knows the average temperature of the engine.  The ECT sensor is critical to many ECM functions such as fuel injection (fuel), ignition timing (spark), variable valve timing, transmission shifting, etc.  You'll want to have your ECT checked to make sure it's measuring the correct coolant temperature.

I would recommend you also having your car's computer examined.  There were cases of ECMs made by Mitsubishi with underrated capacitors in them.  Over time, those capacitors would leak and cause all sorts of stalling and idling problems.  Have that checked as well.
Good luck!
