Mitsubishi Repair: 94 Eclipse, coil pack, pcv valve

i have a 94 eclipse, 4 cyl. for some reason, i can only get to about 30 mph. for a while, i was having trouble starting as it would keep cutting off, then it would finally run. any suggestions?

Sounds like your car is due for a tune-up.  Many times when a car is unable to obtain a certain speed or has difficulty starting, it's an ignition or fuel problem.  Here are a list of regular maintenace items that should be replaced:
- Spark plugs
- Spark plug wires
- Distributor cap & rotor (for the 1.8L engine only)
- Air filter
- Fuel filter
- PCV valve

Items that should at least be checked are the the ignition coil pack (for the 2.0L engine), alternator, starter and fuel pump.  If replacing or checking these items do not resolve your problem, you should have your car's computer inspected.  Read this article for further information:
