Mitsubishi Repair: Bumper, good luck, warranty

Question
I hit something in the road, not sure what i hit, but i just noticed it ripped the the driver side part of the bumper almost off...I would like to know 1st if i will have to replace the whole bumper and if so how much will it cost...

I have a 2003 GS Eclipse

Answer
Kisha,
If the bumper simply came loose, but did not crack or break, then it should be an inexpensive fix.  You should first check with your dealership to see if re-attaching it would be covered under your warranty; making it a free fix.  You don't even need to tell them you hit something in the road.  Simply say you noticed it came off.

But if the dealership tells you it's not free, and says you'll have to pay for another bumper, I'd recommend taking your car to a body repair shop.  They will most likely give you a much lower estimate than your dealership.
Good luck!
