Mitsubishi Repair: Engine light, electrical systems, coolant

Question
Well Tim my proverbial "Engine Light" has now come on after only 102,000 miles. This check engine light was bound to happen and from what i have heard it has something to do with the emissions system..The car runs great, uses no oil that i change religiously every 5000 miles.Coolant is fine and all electrical systems are "A" okay......What is involved in getting this "Light" to go out and what parts and cost are we looking at...Thanks...An eclipse owner....

Answer
Hi Joette

Well most people will see this happen to them when the "check engine light comes on",This is nothing to be alarmed about.it's only telling you the 02 sensor is worn and need replacing ,It can be annoying with the light on as soon that is replaced it will need to be reset and it will go away..
