Mitsubishi Repair: 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage, mpi systems, signs of a bad fuel pump

Question
Thanks for the info.  I just have a few more questions.  First, is the horn relay located under the hood near the battery as well and how do I perform general troubleshooting?  Also, what are the signs of a bad fuel pump regulator?

Thanks,
Myron

Hello,
First I have a problem with the horn.  When I first got into the car and pressed the horn, I heard a faint sound, and then nothing.  The fuses are all okay.  I would like to know if changing the horn will fix the problem?  If so, where is the horn assembly located?

Hi Myron

I would check the hord relay first to see if that is bad which is located near the fuse box which looks like a small black box which supplys the noise to your horn it it is ok then your horn is worn out. Half of them are located under near near the battery on the right hand side but has to be removed from the bottom of the car. Goodluck

Answer
most relays are located under the driver side dash near the steering column,I would try using a test light determing if it is bad or not.

Alot of time i use a guage called MPI Systems to see if it is losing pressure first before replacing it they are located in the fuel tank or the left side head of the engine but you can hear it humming if you stand outside of with the ignition on but not started.
