Mitsubishi Repair: 04 mitsubishi lancer OZ- 5spd, mass air sensor, intake air temperature

Hi Anthony...please help, i need to find the air intake sensor plug or an O2? for a modchip i just bought. i just really wanted to see if actually works and will this chip damage my car?

If this is a modchip you bought on eBay without seeing a picture of it, it's probably just a small, $0.05 resistor.  It's used to fake your intake air temperature (IAT) sensor into thinking it's always 68 degrees outside.  This allows you car's computer to advance its timing to get a bit more power.  I haven't had the opportunity to work on a '04 Lancer, but my guess is that the IAT sensor is located on your mass air sensor (MAS).  Check for a big plug next to your air filter.  That plug has wires leading to a couple sensors, including your IAT.  Unfortuntely, I'm unable to describe exactly what it looks like for your particular car.  That chip should not damage your car.  But if it causes your check engine light to come on, its best not to use it.
