Car Stereos: Sub Box, kicker amp, air space

right now i have 2 12' kicker comps, run through a kicker amp.  its in a sub box, but the box doesnt have two chambers, the two share the same air space, is this bad for the subs??

Hi Greg,

It's not so much 'bad' for the subwoofers as it's going to degrade sound quality, make it not as loud -- especially if the subs are connected to different channels.

Also, should one of the amps die, it will seriously degrade the performance of the first one.

You'll definitely want to seal the two chambers from one another.
