Mitsubishi Repair: Engine quit, mitsubishi mirage, spark plug

95 Mitsubishi Mirage S, 1.5L - Engine quit yesterday. Took out a spark plug left it connected to the plug wire an turned engine over.  No spark,  Replaced cap, rotor (and plugs) still no spark.  Is the next step to replace the distributor?

In most cases, your next step is to replace the distributor itself as you mentioned.  Distributors do not die out too typically, but when replacing plugs, cap, and rotor does not fix the problem, most sources point to a faulty distributor.  Shop around for the best price if you can.  They can be pricey.
