Mitsubishi Repair: eclipse repair, compressor belt, auto parts store

hello,
im trying to replace an alternator belt on a 1994 eclipse SOHC 1.8.  I have to first take the ac compressor belt off.  i can not figure out how to loosen this belt. if you have any advise i could sure use a little help.

I haven't performed too many belt changes on the 1.8L engines in the Eclipse, but I believe it's similar to the 2.0L engine procedure.  If you don't have a service manual, I'd recommend picking one up from AutoZone or any local auto parts store.  For some more detailed instruction, you can view this web site put up my Charles Monk.
