Mitsubishi Repair: Galant ignition problem, galant, steering column

I have a 1997 Galant. I have to turn the ignition key as far as it will go and hold it there for a few seconds before the car starts. Its like it has a delay in it or something. Lately, when I turn the key, it doesn't do anything. I have to turn the key three times before it starts. Do I have a wiring problem in the ignition?

Cynthia: You have a wiring problem in your car's ignition and so you best take the car to a shop to get that fixed. There is a lot of wires in that steering column and so it might take a bit of work to find your problem. But they will. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
