what can I soak the front brake padsthdy in to eliminate a consistant loud squeak?

Hello Lyn,

NEVER soak the pads in anything!!!
Clean them with brake cleaner spray and apply a thin layer of copper paste on the back side of the pads (not on the friction material).

You should also look for possible cause of squeaking.
Loose disc and/or wheel spokes, calliper holder pin needs grease, calliper loose.
