Motorcycle Repair: OILING ISSUES.

I HAVE A 1976 80 CI. WITH BIG BORE KIT DELKRON CASES & S&S OIL PUMP EVERYTHING IN AND ON ENGIEN IS NEW . I CANT GET THE OIL PUMP TO PRIME UP SO I CAN FIRE IT UP !

Answer
remove the cap to the oil check ball from oil pump. use a squirting oil can and pump oil where the check ball was. rotate motor as you squirt oil in the pump. when oil starts to come out of the return line of the pump, then stop and put the check ball and cap back on the pump.
