Motorcycle Repair: wont start, fuel drain, water in the fuel

Question
I have a 2000 gs500. Tank was pretty empty. Drove it from my work to the station next door. Ran fine. Filled it with high octane petro.  Turned the key all indicator lights flashed on then off. Suddenly i have no power at all to start it.  I push started it rode about a half mile and it started to buck me like a bronco. Sounds and runs horrible.  Battery seems to check out fine. Dont know if i have just one issue or two. Gotta get it fixed quick. Its parked at a shopping plaza. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Sean,

You might have some water in the fuel.
Drain the carbs and add some deicer to the fuel tank.

The battery must be charged up and if you have no power
to the dash or starter then check the main fuse.
It is usually near the starter relay on the battery
positive cable end.

If you get some battery power and clean fuel
flowing it should run I hope!
