Motorcycle Repair: 1985 Yamaha Maxim 700N, fuel tubes, vent tube

Question
I bought this bike new in 1985.  I parked it for several years, and now am trying to get it going.  I rebuilt the tank ball cock valve (it was leaking), and pulled off and cleaned the carbs, both top and bottom.  I did not take the floats off and remove the needle valve (new parts on order).  I seem to have a fuel leak coming from the fuel rail vent tube, between carbs #3-4.  It drips after running for a while and shutting the bike off.

How can I stop the leak from continuing, and is it something I can do myself?  Any help you can offer would be great.

Steven

Answer
I beleive the carbs are connected with fuel tubes with O-rings on them.
You can purchase a assortment of fuel line O-rings on Ebay,
I'm not positive but I think this is what your problem could be.
Secondly a needle valve is most likely lacqured up and stuck open and the carb is flooding.
After you replace them your problem could be solved.
If you cant get the carbs in shape send them to me I rebuild carburetors for a living..
