Motorcycle Repair: kdx, carberator, float bowl

Question
Hi I have a 1994 kdx and my carberator keeps over flooding,i have cleaned it,but still the same thing.do you think i should get a new needle and seat.

Hi Phill,
I suggest checking the needle and seat for leakage by lifting the float lightly by hand and seeing if it stops the fuel flow.
Next, check if the float level is set so it just shuts off when the bowl is very full.
Then make sure the float can float well.
Finally, make sure the air vents on the carb are open and the other brass tube in the float bowl is not cracked anywhere as this can cause leaks out the overflow.
