Question
QUESTION: I have a honda 750 sn rco1e-2401026 I dont know what year it is I am trying to install this on a dun buggy. my question is this.

I open the cover for the points and the oil comes out they look as if they are sealed they are not as most pics show, they have 2 Yellow and 2 blue a green and a black wire. where do these wires go to? Looking at all the diagrams on the net it shows a pos 12v comming from the key sw to the + side of the coil packs and the 2 yellows coming from the points connect to the - side of the coil 1-4 and the 2 blue connect to the - on 2-3
Can you help me please

ANSWER: Hi Ken,

Is this a dual cam engine? It might have electronic ignition components.
The yellow and blues would go to pulser coils then.

It sounds like about a 1979 CB750K model but should have two camshafts
and possibly electronic ignition parts, no points.

The other end of the wires would go to two separate spark units,
one for each set of cylinders 1/4 and then 2/3.

Does this sound right or does it have actual contact points?

NOTE:
Actually it would be a 1980 model by the serial number.

QUESTION: Yes it has 2 coils should i put the 2 yellows together and put them on the neg side of coil 1-4 and the 2 blues go on the neg on the second coil 2-3 and then a hot from the key sw to the positives on both coils?

I have done this and no spark, what could be wrong?

Answer

See if these diagrams help or hinder, they are for an electronic
ignition CB750K. You can trace the wires by their colors.

The ignition coils blue and yellow should connect to a spark unit box.
The spark box then connects to the smaller pulse coils inside
the left engine cover.  This assumes you have a standard electronic ignition system
and no one has modified anything.
