Motorcycle Repair: 09 ultra classic, battery cables, classic question

QUESTION: hi my ultra classic will lose all power while riding then after a few it will regain all power it will not do this on every ride only on some please help no one can help and the problem scares me due to safety

ANSWER: When you say you lose all power does the lights go out and the bike shuts down? Does the check engine come on? Has anyone run a dianostic on the ECM?

QUESTION: the lights go out and the bike shuts down the only lights i have saw flicker are the neutral and oil light then they two go out we have had it into two shops and they told us they have to have the bike dead to find problem but the bike will regain power within ten min. or so off going out and will not act up when test drove.

Since you are loosing all power including lights then I would say you have a total power failure.  I would check the ignition switch and the wiring that goes to it from the battery since it controls everything. It might have a short. I would also check the battery cables, at both ends, to make sure they are tight and clean.
