Motorcycle Repair: carb and gas tubes, honda xr200r, overflow tube

Question
Bought a really nice 1995 xr 200 Honda, ran great for 3 weeks. Suddenly while sitting on bike lower right, there is a tube leaking gas, cant figure out where it goes? I know have it up high, gas no longer leaking. Also, gas was coming out of air filter? I have no idea on how to get the semi cones chaped air filter out, its metal mesh and looks good but dirty. It is now running again perfectly? Last question compression phillips tiny screw, how many turns? I adjusted the idle, idling perfectly now.

Answer
John,  when you repositioned the float bowl overflow tube, you caused the fuel to back up through the carburetor and into the air filter.  The fuel leak was due to some temporary blockage of the float valve, which wasn't shutting off as normal.

Air filter components are shown below, in parts blow-up illustrations.

I think the idle mixture screw is covered up with a anti-tamper plug. I am not sure I understand your last question reference. The screw on the bottom of the float bowl is a drain screw and the other adjustable screw in the middle of the body is for idle speed setting.
