QUESTION: when the bike is around 2000 rpm by guestemet no tachometer the meter reads at 14 volts when it shuts down it read 13.4 volts at the battery posts

Answer
Now you know your charging. It sounds like you have a intermediate short. Your going to hav to run the bike until it happens and then track it down. I would start by checking to see if you have power at the ignition switch when is shuts down. You would have to disconnect it to do this. Then if you have power you will have to follow it to the problem. Since you are losing power to the ignition as well as the lights then you have a main power problem, so it should be between the battery and the ignition switch
Good luck and happy riding
