Motorcycle Repair: clutch, clutch lever, center bolt

Question
i have a 1981 iron head i can not get the clutch to adjust at all

Answer
Paul, Prop the bike upright as best you can and pull the access cover off the primary drive. While squeezing the clutch lever see if the pressure plate inside the primary moves at all. Then back the cable off and adjust the center bolt on the clutch to release the pressure plate and adjust it to remove any slack. Then readjust the cable to aid in the proper pull on the pressure plate. Then try this, put the cover back on and start the bike and see if the clutch works.
