Motorcycle Repair: Replacing Rocker Box Gasket, pushrods, exhaust valve

Do you have to readjust valves when replacing rocker box gasket on a 1999 Harley 1200 Sportster. What are the torch speck on putting everything back together.

Answer
You must be refering to the pushrods. You bike has soild pushrods so there is no adjustment. However, you do need to bleed the lifter. Once you have the lower rocker box on rotate the motor so the front exhaust valve is open and then let the bike sit for about 15 minutes. Do this for each valve and this bleeds them down.
1/4 bolts-6lbs
5/16 bolts-12 lbs
3/8 bolys-20 lbs
7/16 bolts-32 lbs
1/2 bolts-47 lbs
